Chinese New Year Dancing
We took part in a special dance routine everyone had to listen and follow different actions. The children got to act out a special dragon dance and used fans and parasols. In school the children have been racing like the animals and writing Chinese symbols using chopsticks.
Run, Run As Fast As You Can You Can’t Catch Me I’m The Gingerbread Man...
After Reading the Gingerbread man story book we decided to bake some gingerbread. The children helped measure and mix the ingredients until it formed a dough. We used a rolling pin and a cutter to make the shape. When we went to get them out of the oven they had gone leaving behind some crumbs! We went on a walk around the nursery looking high and low. We found them on the window sill sleeping. The children decorated the gingerbread men and ate them before they ran off again!
